MCW owner Danny McDevitt has announced that the main event for HOLIDAY HOMECOMING will be the ULTIMATE JEOPARDY TAG TEAM MATCH. In one corner, will be CREATIVE CONTROL, represented by former 3-time MCW Heavyweight Champion ADAM FLASH and former 5-time MCW Heavyweight Champion THE BRUISER, with Kimberley McDevitt in their corner. And their opponents will be the team of CHRISTIAN YORK & the current MCW Heavyweight Champion JOEY MATTHEWS, teaming up for the first time in MCW since September 2002. Special stipulations have been added to this match. If Joey Matthews is able to score the pin, then he will never have to defend the title against any of them ever again. However, if someone else scores the pin, then they will receive a title shot at the next MCW mega-event MCW ANNIVERSARY 2008.

 

For Creative Control members Bruiser & Adam Flash, this is their chance to get another title opportunity, and perhaps, cause injury to the champion, making it easier for them to take the title at the next event. This is also their chance to take out Christian York, a man who has defied the orders of Creative Control in the past. Creative Control made York become "The Fabulous Fabian," in an effort to bring more "entertaining" characters to MCW. York took it as an insult, and immediately dropped the gimmick at SHAMROCK CUP VII this past July. Since then, York has become a target for Creative Control. When York's name was brought up for the match to crown a new #1 contender at MONSTER MASH, Kimberley McDevitt & Tom Brandi devised the perfect plan to eliminate York from the match. Kimberley & Tom hacked into Danny's McDevitt's computer, and wrote an email to Christian York, informing him that his services were not needed for MONSTER MASH.  When York & Danny McDevitt found out, they were outraged. That act led Danny to make this main event tag team match for December 26th.

 

However, after taking out Christian York at MONSTER MASH, Creative Control believes that they will take out York physically at HOLIDAY HOMECOMING. "We will eliminate Joey's best friend and protector, Christian York." says former champ Adam Flash. "Christian stands in my way of taking back what is mine, the MCW Heavyweight Championship! I should have never lost that title, and at HOLIDAY HOMECOMING, I will win the match and get another shot at Joey. And trust me, I will not lose to Joey again!  And don't forget what Bruiser & I did to Christian York last year at HOLIDAY HOMECOMING 2006. We left Christian York & Danny McDevitt, knocked out in the middle of the ring. This year, Christian will suffer the same fate. And that leaves Joey all by himself."

 

While The Bruiser agrees that Creative Control will win the match, he says that he will score the winning pin to get the title shot. "Flash seems to forget that it was me knocking out everybody at HOLIDAY HOMECOMING 2006. And I will do it again this year. That title is mine. Joey got lucky at MONSTER MASH. It won't happen again. Matthews is afraid of me. Always has been. And now, he has to hide behind Christian York to stay away from me. But not even Christian York is going to be enough from stopping me beating Joey to oblivion, and getting that title shot for ANNIVERSARY 2007. Flash has had his chances, and he blew it. He knows his role in Creative Control."

 

"I love the competition between these two," says Tom Brandi. "It doesn't matter which one wins the match, Creative Control will get that title match, and eventually, the title. Everyone knows what they have to do. Everyone knows what they must do, or else!  Joey Matthews is a marked man. So is Christian York. And, on December 26th, Creative Control will reign supreme!"

 

The champ knows that he faces an uphill battle. But, it a battle that he is ready to take head on. "I know that Creative Control has tried everything to destroy me. They have beaten me down, shaved my head, everything! But, I'm still here! I'm still the champion! And I am ready for whatever they have planned for me December 26th.  The good thing is that I have some backup. Someone that I can trust. MCW fans, get ready! Because you are going to see something special. Christian & I have our own gameplan for HOLIDAY HOMECOMING. Flash & Bruiser, trust me...what happened last year, will not happen again. MCW fans will be talking about this event for a long time. Get ready. And while it has been 5 years, I think that Christian & I can pull the old tricks back out again. We were one of the greatest teams in MCW history. And on December 26th, at Michael's 8th Avenue, MCW fans will get to re-live something great. York & Matthews, back together again! Even if it is just for one night. But we are going to have fun, at the expense of Flash & Bruiser. I can't wait!"
