I want to take a minute  and address a couple of things for the MCW fans. First of all is concerning the actions of my partner Dan McDevitt and his outburst on Saturday night. Dan has been in the business over 15 years now and has the respect of alot of people in the industry. He is his own man and makes his own decisions. We have a great partnership and I would like to see the partnership continue for a long time. The fans are important to MCW and all of the guys and girls that compete on MCW events. I am not sure exactly where Dan's head was when he said what he did but after speaking with him after the incident I am sure he will be taking the time to explain himself to you in the next couple of days.
 
The next thing that I want to talk to you about is the Fort Meade Event that was scheduled for October 4th. Yes that event is going to have to be cancelled at this time. Unfortunately the base has been in a transitional period for the last couple of months. The management of the facility on the base is being transferred to a 3rd party company that will be handling booking all of the events. Many events the last couple of months have been cancelled do to the fact that things are not settled there and the contracts are not being ratified. As of today, August 25th we still do not have a ratified contract for a show that was supposed to be 6 weeks away. Since we did not have a completed contract with the base we could not go out and lock down talent for the show. Now with the show just around the corner some of our regular talent has had the opportunity to take work elsewhere and most of the name talent is already booked up.
Hopefully these bugs will be worked out and we will be able to return to Fort Meade in the spring of 2009 and set a somewhat regular schedule there.
 
The last thing that I wanted to touch on was about Adam Flash. As of 1:30pm in the afternoon on the 25th of August we do not know much more than we did Saturday night. Adam hurt his shoulder during the match and went to Franklin Square after the show. They did not see anything on the x-ray but are sending Adam to a specialist to have it looked at. As soon as we know something we will report it here on Marylandwrestling.com
