Without a doubt, one of the most physically imposing figures to come on the scene in Maryland Championship Wrestling in quite some time, is the monster known simply as Cobian. First introduced this past summer at the Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup as part of Christian York & Joey Matthews’ posse, Cobian was brought in to be the enforcer of the group as well as the bodyguard of Kimberley McDevitt. As summer gave way to fall, the Maryland newcomer began competing on a regular basis for MCW. Beginning at “Summer Heat” in August, the monster made quick work of his opponent in an astonishing 47 seconds! His domination continued recently with another equally impressive victory at “Monster Mash.” Unsatisfied with his quick win and wanting to dispense more punishment to his fallen opponent, the monster continued to pummel him unremittingly until long time MCW competitor Adam Flash stormed the ring and made the save. The two wrestlers faced off and were set to exchange blows when MCW Champion, Christian York pulled Cobian back and ordered him to the locker room.

Flash is one of a select few who have held almost every title there is in MCW and has a history with Christian York dating back a decade when the two exchanged the MCW Cruiserweight Title. York’s new addition to his entourage has added a new dimension to his imposing stable, and the newcomer is chomping at the bit for better competition in the ring. Flash, with his history with York and burning desire to continue his climb back up the rankings in MCW, is a valid opponent for Cobian. Squashing rookies half your size is one thing, but facing a proven veteran the likes of Adam Flash is another. Both men will have their opportunity to a giant step forward in Maryland Championship Wrestling, as they square off on December 27 th at “Holiday Hell” at the New Green Room in Dundalk, MD.
