This match was a wild brawl that saw the Ghetto Mafia, Dan McDevitt, Bruiser & Genesis get involved. The most shocking part of the match was Bruiser turning on his tag team partner Genesis.

As we roll into 2007 with ADAM FLASH still the MCW champion things are not looking good as he now has the Bruiser & Ghetto Mafia backing him up.

Well finally the inevitable has happened Maryland Championship Wrestling has asked me to do my own column here on MarylandWrestling.com on my thoughts on what's going on in MCW.

Before I get to my column I would first like to thank the following people for giving me this opportunity to do this: Dan McDevitt (you are the brain child of MCW without you they're wouldn't be a MCW), Jeff Jones (it will be great to work alongside with you Jeff), Shawn Credle (the voice behind the hotline and the main reason I was given this opportunity. Thanks Shawn!!) and to all the workers, security staff and street team because without you guys MCW wouldn't be where it is today.

I have been a loyal supporter of MCW since 1999 and now I have been given this opportunity to write a column for Maryland Championship Wrestling I am going to make the most of this opportunity.

Welcome to your dose of my thoughts and opinions of what's going on in MCW. I am your new columnist for MarylandWrestling.com Mat Rykiel

First off I would to talk about MCW's flagship our heavyweight champion Adam Flash. Flash has been MCW Heavyweight Champion since July when he defeated Julio Dinero. Since then Adam has faced all comers from the owner of the company in Corporal Punishment, Julio Dinero and Christian York. Now, Flash will be entering his eighth month as champion but on March 25th, Flash will be put to the ultimate test when he faces the number one contender for the MCW Heavyweight Title in none other than former ECW Star Danny Doring. The question is: Can Flash escape the MCW Arena with the heavyweight gold or can Doring regain in my opinion what he never lost. Come out on March 25th to get the answer.

My next topic I want to talk about is the huge tag match that is signed for March 25th at the MCW Arena. It will be champions vs. champions. It will be the current CZW World Tag Team Champions The BLKOUT of Sabian and Ruckus they will be facing the current TNA World Tag Team Champions of The Latin American Xchange (LAX) which consists of Hernandez and The Notorious 187 Homicide. This match is like a dream match for me because I am a huge supporter of both teams. BLKOUT of Sabian and Ruckus have been CZW World Tag Team Champions since January and LAX have been the TNA World Tag Team Champions since Bound For Glory in October. Now a lot of people out there have always asked the question: Who is the better team (LAX or BLKOUT). On March 25th at the MCW Arena in Dundalk, Maryland the question will be answered when LAX defends the TNA Tag Team Titles against BLKOUT and we find out who the better team is.

The next topic I will write about is the ownership of MCW. When Dan McDevitt brought MCW back in 2006 I thought MCW was going to return to prominence as the top independent wrestling company in the country. But when the personal drama started between Dan and someone I won't talk about cause she is insignificant. I have seen a significant effect in the product of MCW when all that drama was going on MCW suffered. Now that's fast forward a little bit to MCW Anniversary 2007 when Dan was doing his promo in the ring was interrupted by three of the guys in my opinion that pretty much made MCW back in the day: Adam Flash, The Bruiser and now the half owner of MCW Tom Brandi. With Brandi having The Bruiser and Adam Flash in his back pocket the question is who will join Brandi and his group. My opinion there are two guys possibly that could join this group at that's The Cornerstone Romeo Valentino and the guy that has been kicked out of MCW multiple times Axl Rotten. We will see on March 25th who will join up with Tom Brandi. But with Brandi having Flash and The Bruiser, who will Corporal enlist to be his soldiers to fight alongside with him. I am thinking Danny Doring and Patrick Brink will join up with Corporal Punishment to fight Bruiser, Flash and Tom Brandi.

Well that's my first column I hope all the MCW fans out there enjoyed it's an honor for me to now be working as a columnist for MCW. Take care everyone and come out on March 25th to see some great MCW action.
