On March 21st 2009, Zachary Shane & Tyler Hilton were suspended after a wild arena brawl against Ryan McBride & Teddy Stigma at an Eastern Wrestling Alliance event in Parkville, MD. 

 

July 11th 2009, Shane & Hilton returned to action in Maryland on MCWs Shamrock Cup event.  Not only did they return to action, but they received an immediate shot at the MCW Tag Team Titles.  They took full advantage of that opportunity and walked out of the Green Room as the new MCW Tag Champs.

 

Many fans have asked how Zach & Tyler were granted a title shot for their first match back in action in 4 months.  Most people involved in MCW felt that Shane & Hilton should have had to work their way back up the rankings and prove themselves. 

 

MarylandWrestling.com posed these questions to the tag champions, and here is their response

"The RBC was fun, it was a good time for all involved" said Hilton.  "But we realized that it was getting us no where.  Popping our collars didnt get us these belts.  Coming out to a poppy song didnt get us these straps.  So in our 4 months gone, we have refocused ourselves.  We are no longer in Rehoboth Beach.  We have moved to an exclusive gated community in Annapolis, MD.  We train at the Naval Academy on a regular basis.  From sun up to sun down, we are training, in the ring, watching tapes and most importantly, making the right connections."

Shane chimed in "The match against Ryan and Teddy was a test for us.  It was something to show our dedication.  We did what we were asked and we were rewarded with a title shot.  Its not a coincedence that we jumped Ruckus after his match.  We knew that Ron Simmons was coming in and Ruckus grew up idolizing him.  So we went to the boss, who everyone knows has no love lost for Ruckus and some of the ill advised decisions he has made over the past few months, pitched this idea and we ran with it.  So in our 1st match back in MCW we became the new tag team champions.  In our 2nd match back, we have a chance to add the MCW Heavyweight title to our collection.  Its not just an honor to work with him, but its a privilege.  And thats exactly what we are, Privileged.  While these  turds are working 40 hours a week, we are training in the gym.  They pay $35 for the HONOR of watching us compete.    And on August 7th, we are going to show why we are Privileged.  The title belongs to us.  Its ours by right."

On August 7th in Dundalk, MD  MCW Tag Team Champions Zachary Shane & Tyler Hilton will compete against MCW Heavyweight Champion Ruckus and NCAA College Football Hall of Famer Ron Simmons.  If Ruckus & Simmons get the pinfall or submission in this match, they are the new MCW Tag Team Champions.  If Shane or Hilton get the pin on Ruckus OR Simmons, they will become the new MCW Heavyweight Champion.
