In recent years, no match has thrilled wrestling fans more than the ladder match. One of the most exciting ladder matches fans have been privy to, took place this past July at the Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup VIII, as the young duo of Ryan McBride & Teddy Stigma faced off with the Ghetto Mafia, Dope & Creed. In what’s been described as the match of the year in Maryland Championship Wrestling, both teams pulled out all the stops as they left the fans amazed at the high flying, death-defying spectacle they’d just witnessed.

Arguably one of the most dominant tag teams to ever compete in MCW, the Ghetto Mafia have held the MCW Tag Team titles for the better part of the past 14 months. Feasting upon their success, Dope & Creed have successfully faced and defeated all challengers that have come their way. On the contrary, the hungry team of Ryan McBride & Teddy Stigma, have come a long way since they sat ringside as fans many years ago. The high flying tandem have steadily been climbing the proverbial ladder in MCW’s tag team division as they chase their childhood dreams of capturing the coveted MCW Tag Team Titles. Having secured a title shot with their victory over the S.A.T. and the New RBC on November 1 st, McBride & Stigma hope their descend down the ladder on December 27 th is with possession of the prestigious gold.

What fans witnessed this past summer was only the beginning as both teams promise to hold nothing back in their battle to see which team will lead MCW’s tag team division into 2009. For one team it’s a continuation of dominance, while for the other it’s the culmination of years of hard work. In what’s being billed as “Ladder Match II,” The Ghetto Mafia will defend their MCW Tag Team Championship against the popular Ryan McBride & Teddy Stigma at the New Green Room in Dundalk, MD. on December 27 th, headlining MCW’s “Holiday Hell” extravaganza.
